NEWS: The owners of Wales’ largest drift mine have been forced to file for administration, they confirmed today. The future of 220 workers at the Unity Mine in Cwmgwrach in the Vale of Neath has been uncertain for some time. But today, mine director Richard Nugent said: “Unfortunately the Unity Group of Companies has been forced into the process of filing for administration whilst discussions continue about the future direction of the mine.
