NEWS UPDATE @ 9AM WITH Orange Uganda: NO MORE AID CUTS OVER THE ANTI-GAY LAW: The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hon. Okello Oryem has said that the European Union has assured the Ugandan government that there will be no more aid cuts over the Anti-gay Act. Hon. Oryem says this was discussed in two meetings held with both the European Union ambassadors late last month, and another with the United States. KIIR AND MACHAR MEETING: South Sudans rival politicians are likely to have a face-to-face meeting on Friday in Ethiopia, UN chief Ban Ki-moon has said. Both President Salva Kiir and his sacked former deputy Riek Machar had given him their assurances during his trip to South Sudan, he said.
