NEWS UPDATE; COURT HAS ISSUED AN ARREST WARRANT FOR DIRECTOR BUDGET OFFICE,PARLIAMENT. The Inspectorate of Government has prefered charges against Mr Wanyaka Samuel Huxley,the Director Parliament Budget Office, Parliament of Uganda on three counts of Embezzlement, Abuse of Office and False accounting. Mr Wanyaka Samuel is being charged for Embezzlement an act contrary to Section 19 of the Anti-Corruption Act when on various dates between 13th August 2012 and 9th December 2013, at Parliament of Uganda, Mr Wanyaka being employed in Public Service as Director Budget Office, stole ushs 822,965,000/= meant for conducting service delivery surveys in Uganda, which money he had access to by virtue of his employment. He is also being charged for Abuse of Office an act contrary to Section 11(1)(2) of the Anti-Corruption Act. On Count III, Mr Wanyaka is being charged for False Accounting when he knowingly made false returns for the Ushs 822,965,000. Court has today issued an Arrest Warrant for Mr Wanyaka. The arrest warrant has been signed by Chief magistrate her Worship Sarah Langa.
