NEWS UPDATE, PRESS RELEASE FROM THE CLAREMONT PD: CLAREMONT, NH--Early Sunday morning, Sept. 15, at approximately 1:08 a.m., Claremont Emergency Services were called to a motor vehicle collision on Hanover Street for a reported single vehicle upside down with occupant entrapment in the area of 74 Hanover Street. Upon arrival, emergency responders found a red Saab on its roof with a single occupant, the driver, trapped in the vehicle. The driver’s injuries were fatal, and he was declared deceased at the scene. Initial investigation reveals the Saab was traveling south on Hanover Street before drifting into the north bound lane and off the road, causing it to travel up on its left side onto a stone wall where it rolled over onto the roof. It does not appear that the driver was wearing a seatbelt. The driver has been identified as Ryan Heino, 22, of Claremont. Assisting at the scene were the Claremont Police Dept., Cornish Police Dept., NH State Police, Claremont Fire Dept., Golden Cross Ambulance and the NH Medical Examiner’s Office. The collision remains under investigation.
