NEWS UPDATES AT 12 O’CLOCK WITH ORANGE. UPDF will next week from 13th - 26th October start its annual recruitment process. Those who are 18 years and above, have studied up till senior four, are healthy with a full set of teeth, no allergies or ENT problems and have official legit documents stand as contenders for the 3000 positions available. Last year’s recruitments left a trail of complaints in various parts of the country. Local leaders complained that the recruitment teams would travel with their own people to be recruited in various areas. The Status conference on Uhuru Kenyatta’s ICC case is underway hearing. Defence and prosecution teams have made their introductions. The defence will be allocated 25mins incase Kenyatta wishes to speak and the prosecution 15minutes. Uhuru’s charges concern his role in violence that followed the 2007 elections, in which more than 1,000 Kenyans were killed. He says the charges against him are politically motivated and insists that the case should be thrown out.
