Ministry of Health has rolled out a new transformative point-of care diagnostic machine, which gives instant results for the detection of genetic material of the HIV virus. The small, highly portable machine-known as SAMBA II, will help transform the lives of tens of thousands of especially HIV exposed infants, who have a 50% chance of early death if HIV infection is not diagnosed within the first six weeks of life and if they are not immediately initiated on treatment. In-coming Prime Minister, Dr Ruhakana Rugunda, has dismissed talk of a rift between President Museveni and Amama Mbabazi, who was dropped from cabinet on Friday. Jacqueline Uwera Nsenga has been found guilty of murder. Uwera was accused of killing her husband, Juvenale Nsenga when she ran him over in January 2013 at their Bugolobi based home as he opened the gate. The leadership of Kajo-kaji and Moyo to consult each other and their technical government officials on policy issues such as immigration, trade and security in the activities in disputed areas A three-day curfew aimed at containing the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone has been declared a success by authorities.
