NEWS: Winter warm-up soup luncheon Thursday Staff report The First Presbyterian Church of Paducah will hold its seventh annual winter warm-up soup luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday in the church fellowship hall. Each year, local restaurants team up with the church to benefit a charitable organization in the community. For the second consecutive year, Child Watch Counseling and Advocacy Center will receive proceeds from the luncheon to help provide services for children who have been abused or neglected and abuse prevention education programming at area elementary schools. Participating restaurants include Gold Rush Café, JPs, Olive Garden, Pork Peddler, Does, Artisan Kitchen, Midtown Market, Bob Evans, Flamingo Row, McAlisters, Walker Hall, Grand Lodge, and Kirchhoffs. A minimum donation of $5 a person is requested. Delivery is available for orders of 10 or more at $7 each and must be placed by noon Wednesday.
