A massive thanks to all the volunteer Age Group Managers, Assistants, Officials and Water Cover for our recent State Titles, along with our supportive parents. 2. Thanks to Mandi and Joy along with Michelle and Tiff for their contribution of photos from the event. Anyone who would like a copy of the 600 odd photo’s that I have collated (from over 3000) please get me a USB and either post it or drop it off at 38 Compass Drive, Seaford. I can then bring them along to presentation day. 3. A big wrap to the Junior Division kids who stepped up to the plate at the Senior State Championships. Jack Eastwood (6th U15 swim, Tube Race semi-finalist), Amber Smith (15th U15 swim, 6th U15 Board Rescue), Hanna Maddison- Tennant (Bronze U15 Board Relay, U15 Board Finalist, U15 Swim Finalist, 6th U15 Board Rescue) and Tyler Orr (Gold U15 Board Rescue with Tiff Copley, Bronze U15 Board Relay, U15 Board Finalist). The girls also combined to finish 8th in U15 Cameron. 4. Thanks to Club Head Coach Ray Burnett for his time and effort in ensuring these kids are ready to make that step, we will be fostering these kids and our U13 and U14 groups next year to ready them for senior competition. It is wonderful to see some of the young kids really giving the senior competition a shake remembering they still have one or two years left to compete within this age group. Let’s hope we can grow the number of these competitors for next season. ARTC COURSE – JANET PUPLETT If anyone is interested in doing their ARTC can they please email me on starri54@gmail or leave message on 0421136668 and give me your email, phone number and name. It will only take one day to complete and then the exam. JUNIOR NEWS Steve Nahlous will be compiling the Junior report this year and will need all age group managers, junior captains & committee members to submit their reports/photos to him urgently. All reports are now due. They can be submitted via e-mail to [email protected] (or phone to arrange another method – ph. 0421 637 160) To all Nippers parents: As of the end of the season ALL positions involved with the running of the Juniors will become vacant. The Club will be looking for new volunteers to oversee & run the Junior Division, who will be willing to give a 100% commitment to the Nippers & only have the best intentions for the group as a whole. There is a folder on the Junior Notice Board table that has detailed Job descriptions for positions on the Committee & for other positions within the Juniors. Please take the time to read them if you are interested in applying for any of these roles & feel free to speak to anyone on the committee regarding the position you are interested in. Change is inevitable within clubs, so if you feel you have something to offer please jump on board.
