*******NEXT RE-HOMING NEWS******* Reservations are open now for the re-homing of ex-commercial hens Hens. Date: September 27th We have collection points throughout England and Wales there is a list on our website. If you have room in your coop and in your heart to free a couple of these lovely hard working ladies, please reserve via our website freshstartforhens.co.uk We ask a donation minimum of £2.50 per hen which goes towards transport, fuel and the purchase of crates. All work is done by volunteers, mostly at evenings and weekends. Adding @freshstartforhens.co.uk to your email safe list will help our emails to reach you, but do check junk often. Please reserve and donate on line ASAP and give these girls their first chance to see the sun and sky, nibble grass and have a dust bath. It is so rewarding to watch them flourish. Thank you. Bella My name is Bella, I lived in a cage Shown no compassion, just pecking and rage Then one day from my cage I was pulled I’d heard of this day I was about to be culled Into a crate I was gently placed Still very crowded with not much space I wondered how long my future would be Little did I know I would soon be FREE Our crates were opened and we all jumped out Food, water and bedding was all about One by one the re-homers came Then came the one who gave me my name You see MY name is Bella, I live life to the full One of the lucky ones who escaped the cull If you can save the life of a hen like me Please reserve on line and set them free
