NFC West War Zone, I am going to be taking a look at how each - TopicsExpress

NFC West War Zone, I am going to be taking a look at how each teams positions stack up against each other. For example, which teams has the best WR core and D-Line, etc. I will do each position separately so I can give reasoning as to why I picked them that way. I am doing only the starters and not the depth of the teams. I am also assuming that everybody is healthy week 1. Next up I will analyze the defensive lines. I was going to break it down into DE and DT’s but the whole 4-3 and 3-4 thing makes that a bit unfair for the DT portion of it so I will do the defensive lines as a whole. Number one to me is obvious and I am sure that even the other teams fans can agree. So, here goes: 1.St. Louis Rams: The Rams have two 1st round picks in Long and Quinn that both broke 10 sacks last season and another 1st round pick in Brockers who came on strong last year. The Rams lead the league in sacks and their D line is still young and improving. 2.Arizona Cardinals: The Cards boast two DE’s who can get to the QB and stop the run in Calais Campbel land Darnell Docket. A lot people like to poke fun at the Cards saying they are the weakest D in the division but I don’t feel that is true. Last season they were on the field a lot due to an anemic offense that couldn’t sustain drives. These two DE’s are the heart of that D in my opinion. 3.San Francisco 49ers: The 9ers DE’s are used more to pull the opponents O-line away from the OLB’s so they can get to the QB. Still, Justin Smith finds a way to make stuff happen through all the double teams. He is a fierce competitor. Ray McDonald is solid but no superstar. 4.Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks have been working hard to get some playmakers in this area and went out and signed Cliff Avril. Avril is solid and has averaged 9 or more sacks the last 3 seasons but outside of Avril they are still shallow in depth. Bruce Irvin got moved to OLB so will be a non-factor in this case. So, I know the 9ers and Hawks fans are going to be upset by this but if you close open your eyes and do the research I am sure you guys will agree. Look at my other posts the last few days if you missed the other rankings for D players. Now, on to the offense! –THolt81 Lmao, I put Washington as a DE. My bad Cards fans. >.
