NGOs are defined as a non-profit and non-political organizations that advance a particular cause or set of causes in the public development interest. For most NGOs, donations are a lifeline as they are independent organisations. Funding can come from the United Nations, Government organisations, private trusts and philanthropies, individual donations, religious institutions, and in many cases, other non goverment organisations. NGOs can and do contribute to democracy through challenging governments and promoting social interests, However, an NGO is only accountable to its particular funding organisations and members and has to abide by the monitoring standards set up these funding entities and ofcourse, the law of the land. GWS NGO came into existence being after a few social activists realized that social change could only be ushered through social movement and developmental programme. We realized that the existing problems in the rural and urban areas could be solved by the help of local people by their active involvement. Only Govt or its machineries can’t do it we must extend the helping hand to the executing agencies or bodies for rapid and sustainable results. After reviewing the whole scenarios with meetings with the local people, experts, volunteers and women folk it was decided to establish a non-voluntary organization. Through the movement of education, unemployment, human rights and disability issues social activists came on the one platform. Keeping in mind the problems of our rural areas like Illiteracy, Unemployment, Malnutrition in children we have started a campaign naming “Khusi Samagra Vikas Yojna”. Khushi Samagra Vikas Yojna has been communicating with Small institutes, Schools, Technical Institutes, and private sector organizations are interested to help needy people and we have a vision to provide scholarship to those students who are unable to get education due to economic problems.
