NHK has revealed its 55th taiga drama series scheduled to air in January, 2016. The drama series is titled SANADA-MARU and will be scripted by popular director/screenwriter Koki Mitani (The Kiyosu Conference). Casting for the 55th NHK taiga drama series has yet to be revealed. The main character for SANADA-MARU is samurai warrior Yukimura Sanada.
