NIGERIA A CORRUPT COUNTRY - USA GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL POSITION! The United States government has confirmed our widely held view that the current government under the leadership of Dr. Goodluck Ebelle Azikwe Jonathan is the most corrupt government in the Nigerian history. In his widely advertised Country Reports on Human Rights Practices which was published last Thursday, 27th February, 2014, the U.S. Secretary of. State Senstor John Kerry gave this damning confirmation. The report also berated the Nigerian Police, the EFCC and the ICPC as being used as ready made tools in promoting the escalation of this monster called corruption. The report however noted that Ibrahim Lamurde has shown some genuine interest in fighting corruption, but is being constrained by external factors. The report also chided the President for his refusal to publicly declared his assets. The U.S. report was also critical on the immunity close in Nigerian constitution that shielded the President and his Deputy, and Governors and their Deputies from prosecution. This official position of the United States on corruption is not new, before this, reputable international anti corruption organizations like the Transparency International (TI) has been passing damning reports on the rapid/ascending level of corruption since the assumption of office of Mr. Jonathan.
