NIKHIL BISHNUPRIYA MANIPURI MAHASABHA’S AGENDA FOR OVER ALL DEVELOPMENT DURING 21ST MILLENNIUM. In the recently concluded formation of NBMM body through the Registrar Societies & farms, Govt. of Assam by the given Directive of Hon’ble High Court on 7th of January 2014 will go to the people of Bishnupriya Manipuri as a team. About 500 delegates nominated all over the country has given us faith on the newly formed Mahasabha under the presidentship of Sri. Pulin Behari Sinha and other 150 office bearers. We have the mandate to serve the Mahasabha of the community validity extended upto 08 Jan, 2017. This we will do mindful of the high responsibility and honour that has been conferred upon us. Our commitment to the entire community will be reconed as the AGENDA for “Bishnupriya Manipuri Community” adopted unanimously by Central body, State body and Anchalik body at the dawning of new millennium. 1. Registration of NBMM from Central Govt. : Considering the distribution of Bishnupriya Manipuri population in other states and abroad it is mendatory to accord approval from Central Government to extend help in their need and other development activity. 2. Socio-Economic Changes : To overcome economic backwardness at the present context, we will strive to bring changes considering the utilisation of existing resources through Govt. assistance and assurance. We will “help those who help themselves” increase G.D.P. in agriculture will be our prime endevour to overcome unemployment and to accelerated development of Infrastructure. We will take all such steps as would expedite implementation of polices and programme in accord with our national interest. We will strive hard to achieve quantum leap in Agricultural production so that Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Food Processing, Fisheries and so on become the vehicle for growth resulting in change of standard of living. Through this programme we may ensure food security, ensure Infrastructure building. Institutional support for technology and marketing facilities for artisans, handlooms, handicraft and such other industries. These are the scope for generation of employment. 3. Education for all : We are committed to a total eradication of illiteracy. The Govt. has number of policies and will co-operate at our best to implement across our society. 4. Housing for all : Is a basic human requirement that need to be fulfill on a priority basis. We will submit comprehensive scheme in consultation with Government so that poor and deprived are benefitted. 5. Empowerment of Women : We will abide by the policy formulated by Government on reservation of 33% for women for all purpose of Development activities. We will setup entrepreneurship of women through Agriculture 6. Harnessing of Yuva Shakti : Our youths are strength of family, village, locality and the community they are also the future of the nation we will take all necessary steps to mobilise this most idealistic, inspired and energetic section of our society in the mission of nation building. We will sugest and encourage Youth’s in the Agriculture Sector through Central assistance . “We will have time bound programme for promotion of sports” . 7. Economic Backwardness : We will strive hard to remove economical backwardness through financial assistance available under Planning Commission in the back drop of harnessing resource management and utilisation. We need legal protection to existing percentage of reservation in educational institution at the state and central level. We will continue to take the advantages of Government policies to offer assistance to backward classes for our socio-economic development for social justice. 8. Demands : We will continue to fight for inclusion of Bishnupriya Manipuri Programmes in Prasar Bharati schedule regularly through Silchar, Gauhati, Agartala centres. We are committed to the educational development of our community and will take effective steps in this regards. 9. Constitutional Ammendments : We have appointed a committee to study the existing constitution of NBMM and to review in light of the experience of the past 50 years and to make suitable recommendation. 10. Community Fund : We will appeal to the mass people of the society to contribute and raise a community fund to help the NBMM to function as a unit. These may either be monthly/annually or life membership. In implementing the “Agenda” we will not tolerate any lexity what sover. We are committed to these maxims. 11. Resource Mobilisation : The NIRs, II tans, MBAns, Engineers, Educated youths of high ambition, established businessmen belongs to Bishnupriya Manipuri Community should come forward to help people in their need. We welcome their advice for rapid growth of the society financial assistance to the “Mahasabha” for developing a “Community Fund”. We all should contribute to the society from where we belong. 12. Preserving Cultural Heritage : We will give special importance to preserve the cultural heritage of Bishnupriya Manipuri. We will encourage research and give full support partaining to improvement of Folk Dance, Classical Dance, Music, Drama etc. A seperate cell in this regard will take care of the issue. Thanking You.
