NL WEATHER WEEKEND DETAILS If you havent already, its time to break out those winter hats & coats! Its going to be a chilly one on Saturday. Details below... -Snow Squall Watches remain in effect for Western Newfoundland. Wind Warnings in effect for the Northern Peninsula, Winter Storm Warnings and Blowing Snow Advisories for Southeastern Labrador. Details here: weather.gc.ca Saturday: By far our coldest day of the season thus far. Chilly temperatures and gusty winds will lead to bitter wind chills which will hold through the day. Onshore flurries and snow squalls along the West Coast & South Coasts will continue tonight, Saturday and right into Sunday morning. Local amounts could be in the 15-20+ cm range by Sunday afternoon. As winds shift to West the chance of flurries and squalls moves into Metro & the Avalon for Saturday afternoon, evening and overnight, where a coating to few cm looks possible. Sunday: Flurries and Snow Squalls will mix with showers across the Island as temperatures rise a few degrees above zero. A taste of Sunshine too, especially into the afternoon hours. Winds stay breezy. In Labrador Sun and Cloud, chance of flurries, mainly in the morning and temps remain chilly. Have a great weekend everyone! Ryan
