NO FEWER THAN A DOZEN KILLED IN KANO BLASTS. The bombs are back! Ay, it is not in dispute at all. Reports reaching THE NIGERIAN DREAM say that no fewer than 12 people were killed somewhere in the predominantly Christian district in the desert city at 21:30 hrs local time. News of the multiple blasts at open-air beer parlours , we were further told , was confirmed by the state police boss Musa Daura. Boko Haram , it would be recalled , had before now launched a similar attack in March this year killing many people in a similar attack. Only when smile is beginning to return to faces , we are again caught in another wave of blasts thus leaving our security forces in a quandary . Who exactly are being targeted at this juncture? Is Boko Haram actually fighting for a break-away Islamic state? THE NIGERIAN DREAM , as usual , has a burning desire to know.
