NO PARLIAMENT SESSION TOMORROW FOR BELDEN NAMAH ON THE NATIONAL DAY OF REPENTANCE Leader of the Papua New Guinea Opposition & Vanimo-Green MP, Hon. Belden Norman Namah clarified that he will not be attending parliament tomorrow on the National Day of Repentance, a day that Prime Minister Peter ONeill and his Leader of Government Business James Marape had hastily moved to reconvene on not realizing that August 26th is a gazetted public holiday. The decision to reconvene tomorrow was made during the last sitting on June 24th this year when parliament sat for the shortest time ever - for approximately 40 minutes. Mr Namah said: It will be the first time in our short history since self government and independence that our parliament will sit on a public holiday. Peter ONEILL and his Leader of Government Business were either confused or were led by The Holy Spirit to choose this date 26th of August 2014 which is the National Day of Repentance for them to confess of their sins and repent to God and to the people of PNG.
