NO ROOM! “And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.” (Luke 2:7) It is unthinkable to think that God would care enough for man that He would robe Himself in a garment of flesh, and become like us so that we might become like Him, and yet when He arrived there was no room for Him! 1. NO ROOM FOR HIM IN SOCIETY All of the problems we have in society stem from the fact that we have NO ROOM for Jesus Christ anymore. It grieves my heart to see what this world has become and even more so what our country is becoming. When I read about the senseless killings going on, it is heartbreaking. Folks, it doesn’t matter what a person’s skin color is, ALL LIVES MATTER! It doesn’t matter what a person’s economic status is in life, LIFE MATTERS. But you cannot kick the Author and giver of life out of the classroom, the courthouse, and the White House, and expect life to still be precious. When the Author of life is ignored, life itself will not be valuable. 2. NO ROOM FOR HIM IN OUR GOVERNMENT We are now back to living in the days of Judges 17:6 “In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.” We may have a president and a congress and senate…but there is NO KING (Jesus)! And when there is no KING, man will do that “which is right in his own eyes.” 3. NO ROOM IN OUR HEARTS Don’t crowd Christ out of Christmas. Don’t just give Him a room…give Him control of the whole house!!! Honor and worship HIM because that is what Christmas is all about. --PASTOR MARK
