NO WAY TO BE POLITE ABOUT THIS ONE...... Back in the 90s out of nowhere bars started posting up signs and advertising midget tossing contests. Way it worked was a little person put on a Velcro harness and there was a padded wall covered in Velcro and you grabbed the holders on said little person and saw how high on the wall you could toss them and get them to stick. Cost you 5.00 to toss a little person and at a certain point the winner got a cash prize. Always the investigative reporters a couple of guys and myself went into a bar to see this phenomenon. Were setting there having a beer and I notice the little person being tossed may have been short but he probably weighed every bit as much as my 175 lbs. No way was I going to try to throw my weight up a wall. But this Little person woman in a referee shirt comes by and points at me and says Toss the Midget. Uh no thanks. She drags up a chair, climbs on our table, blows a whistle and starts pointing at me and yelling Midget abuse!!!. Long story short, I finally gave her 5.00 to go away (which was all she wanted in the first place) and we watched rednecks throw little people and stick them on the wall for about half an hour. The Bubbas seemed to think this was a great accomplishment and would celebrate with high fives all around and some chugging of pitchers and betting among themselves and then theyd try to throw this obese little person again. He never stuck much more than about 5 high but a great time was had by all it seemed and lots of money changed hands. About 3 months later the state of California put a stop to it and the Little People were incensed. Seems they were making several hundred a night and they were not happy about losing that income. What say you? Wrong or gainful employment?
