NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center: Hurricane Raymond is still - TopicsExpress

NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center: Hurricane Raymond is still stalled off the coast of Mexico, but is expected to begin slowly pulling away toward the west-southwest later today. Its centered on this Wednesday morning about 120 miles south of Zihuatanejo with maximum sustained winds of 75 mph. Raymond is forecast to weaken to a tropical storm later today, too. The government of Mexico discontinued the hurricane warning overnight, but a tropical storm warning remains from Acapulco to Lazaro Cardenas. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches - with isolated storm totals up to 15 inches - are expected over the Mexican state of Guerrero. These rains could produce life-threatening flash floods and mud slides. Get the latest on Raymond, including graphics, on the NHC website at hurricanes.gov
