NOBEL PRIZE v/s BHARAT RATNA --------------------------------------------------- Nobel prize instituted by Alfred Nobel,the creator of dynamite, is fast losing its credibility. The jury is a private body vulnerable to political influences of western powers. Nobel prize awarded this year jointly to Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousufzai,passed off as a non-event.Pakistan did not even take much notice of it ,possibly due to internal turmoil. Several genuine leaders were overlooked in the past. The greatest shock came when Henry Kissinger got the Nobel Peace Prize in 1973, a year after ordering the strategic bombing of Vietnam, The highest civilian award of India is plagued by same controversy. Luminaries like Madan mohan Malvia and Atal Behari Vajpayee,were ignored by the previous Sonia Gandhi-driven regime due to political reasons Sachin Tendulkar and C N R Rao were honoured with Bharat Ratna,last year.The former Bharat Ratna is a brand ambassador endorsing commercial products. No transparency. It was totally arbitrary based on pick and choose policy of Sonia Gandhi, to be later formalised by the Cabinet. Three Bharat Ratnas were grabbed by Nehru-Gandhi dynasty.
