NORTH KOREA CLAIMS IT HAS PRODUCED ITS OWN SMART PHONE North Korea claims it has made its very own smart phone. According to the communist country’s Korean Central News Agency, the phone is called the “Arirang” and runs a version of the Android. Reports claim the phone was manufactured at the May 11 Factory and that leader Kim Jong Un "highly appreciated the creative ingenuity and patriotic enthusiasm" behind the new devices. But numerous blogs suggested it’s more likely the phones were made in China and simply packaged locally.
