NORTHERN RAILWAY COMMENCES RESTORATION OF TRAIN SERVICES CANCELLED ON JAMMU-UDHAMPUR-SHRIMATA VAISHNO DEVI KATRA RAIL SECTION Consequent to the heavy flooding and breaches on rail tracks, Northern Railway had earlier announced cancellation of all train services on the Jammu-Udhampur-Shrimata Vaishno Devi Katra Rail Section upto 10.09.2014. Alongside, the Railway had undertaken all-out efforts to restore fitness of the track and expedite early restoration of train services. With night-and-day restoration activity, the track now fit for train operations, the following trains will commence operations as per the under-mentioned programme. All other services upto Udhampur and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra shall resume as per schedule from tonight. Train No. 14033 Jammu Mail from Delhi Jn to Udhampur which was short-terminated at Jammu due to breaches will now resume services from Jammu at 11.45 a.m. today to reach Udhampur at 01.00 p.m. In the return direction, 14034 Udhmapur-Jammu- Delhi Mail will depart from Udhampur at 03.45 p.m. DEMU services will commence with the first service scheduled to depart from Jammu Tawi at 01.30 p.m. today to reach Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 03.30 p.m. In the return direction, the DEMU service will depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 04.30 p.m.
