NOT VOTING? Not voting is surrender. Voting and holding the elected officials accountable is how we will change things. It is clear that politics and government happen every single day. Most of the population gets involved only at election time and many will stay home and not vote at all. If there is no guidance, no building pressure, no constant drum beat telling the politicians and government that enough trickle down already,(Trickle Down is code for trickle up) , we want trickle out to the people. When they tell us there will be tax breaks, ask what school, road, bridge, police or fire station it will be taken from. Ask which elderly or ill folks will go without food, heating assistance or medicine. Whos child will go without headstart, early childhood education, or subsidized lunch. Ask them how this will trickle down to the homeless and underemployed and unemployed be effected. . Do not surrender. Work harder every day, dont let them think no news is good news, all is quiet, it must be OK because it damn well isnt. Sit home and do nothing at your own and societies peril.
