NOTE FROM WESSIE Dear friends After spending some time with friends during a Connect Time yesterday afternoon looking at some verses from the word of God, I realized yet again the joy of growing together through exposure to truths from the Bible. It is with this in mind that I again understand clearly how important discipleship and growing together in God really is and how crucial it is for us to be intentional about this. The reality for us is that Sunday worship services lasts on average only about 100 minutes and is a time primarily for worship, preaching and enjoying being together with a cup of coffee in hand. If we were depending on that moment to plant, water and cultivate the seed of Gods Word in peoples lives, it would hardly be enough. My prayer is that we would never only look at Sundays as a means to grow in our walk with God and people. Real discipleship happens 24 hours a day, seven days a week where we are involved in seeing the values of Gods Word be applied to our lives. May we indeed be committed to enjoy these special moments together on Sundays, but may we further allow God to help us be true and authentic followers of Jesus through being changed by His Word in accountable relationships with each other and through that, influence other people of this city Do find again attached the notes from this past Sundays preach when we looked at living from a place of rest in God. Our focus for the following few weeks will be on celebrating who Jesus is when we do a series together looking at His life, and answering some questions about His Godliness, His superiority over other gods, what He really accomplished on the cross etc. May Easter be indeed be a time for us to realize how incredible our Saviour is! Lastly, I want to remind you all of our visit to Tsholotsho this Saturday when we will be taking the day out to be with the San people (Bushmen) to help making bricks for them to rebuild homes that were washed away during the recent floods they had.
