NOTICE: In case you didnt see this post yesterday, here it is again. We want to let everyone know that we have switched to the ThereNow platform now. To sign up now to get our alerts, you will select a zone that is roughly a mile in radius and if something happens in it, then you will get a text alert from our page. To sign up, go here: therenow.co/profile and click sign up. if there is a big incident, like a 2 alarm fire or a shooting then you will receive an alert if the incident is in the town you selected. If the incident is so big, then everyone will receive the text who is signed up with the service (this is rare that we would send very large incident to everyone through text). Each time we post now with incidents, a link will show up next to the post and when you click it, it will bring up a box with the original call and if there are any updates, they will be shown there. Example: https://facebook/LakeMcHenryScanner/posts/733966003352299. This is beneficial if you do not want to go through the comments to find updates. Once you sign up, you will be able to view a map with the incidents we have sent out within the past 24 hours as well. These posts will be sent to Facebook and Twitter as well, we are NOT closing our site and you will still see all the posts we send out. If you are having trouble with anything or need help, feel free to comment and we will help you out. NOTE: There are a few bugs being worked out on the website. One in particular is where some users are seeing the map zoomed in on Texas. All you have to do is zoom out and head to Illinois and you will see our incidents.
