NOTIS/WITS present: A language enhancement workshop with Ine-Marie van Dam: At the Top of your Game: Perfecting your Language Skills; Top-Notch Language Skills for Professional Success As linguists, we know that languages continually evolve and change and that, as a result, our education is never complete. Have you ever wondered how to keep all of your languages at peak-performance level, how to speak without an accent in any language, how to most easily acquire and retain specialized terminology, or how to customize your learning style to become a top-notch translator and/or interpreter throughout career? Ine van Dam has the answers! A long-time translator, interpreter, editor, and author, Ine van Dam’s true passion is learning. A Geneva-trained interpreter, she began her career in Brussels, moving state-side in her mid-thirties, at which time she joined the faculty at the Monterey Institute of Foreign Studies. Over the years, Ine-Marie has taught workshops in a number of countries, while at the same time, continuing to maintain and enhance her own languages and professional skills. She has also worked with various language-related learning programs, including Insights on Learning and Neurolinguistic Programming. Former students report that Ine is valued for her user-friendly, sometimes unconventional, always-pragmatic approach.
