NOVEMBER POETRY PROMPT #9: In honor of Button Poetry posting my poem today & all the folks who want to berate me/my body/you/your body - today I think you should write a poem where you talk about all the AWESOME/POWERFUL/SPECIAL aspects of the things people have bullied you for. Write a poem full of pride for who you are. Even better if the poem is shaped like a giant middle finger on the page. And then (this is part of the prompt so dont skip out on it) read the poem out loud every chance you get. Shout it from the rooftops, bars, on trains, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Speak your love for yourself so loud it drowns out the meaner voices. And then encourage someone else to do it too.
