NOW HIRING: The Alamo Colleges Police Department is currently hiring Campus Peace Officers who are tasked with providing law enforcement services to each of the five campuses and satellite facilities of the Alamo Community College District. Campuses include North-east Lakeview College, Northwest Vista College, Palo Alto College, St. Philips College, San Antonio College. Minimum Qualifications: Must have Basic Certification by Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) or have successfully completed the TCOLE Re-Activation Examination. Must possess and maintain a valid Texas State Drivers License. A high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.). Zero to six months experience. Pass background check and pre employment physical, psychological and drug screening. Salary / Benefits: Base salary starting at $35,900.00. Incentive pay for TCLEOSE Certification Level ($600 a year for Basic; $1,200 a year for Intermediate; $1,800 for Advanced; $2,400 for Master). Incentive pay for degree ($1,000 a year for an Associates, $2,000 a year for a Bachelors, $3,000 a year for a Masters degree). Incentive pay for TCOLE instructor certification ($600 a year). Shift differential pay (B Shift—$50 a month, C Shift $100 a month). Department provided uniforms, equipment, duty weapon, ammunition.
