NOW THAT WE HIT 200....A quick word shared (Im sure by the other admins). The full story is at the top but we started this page as an alternative to people selling bits n kits as I call them on the main page. It seemed that many members didnt want WANTED or FOR SALE items on the page; just photos and information. In my opinion we have some incredible experts and historians on that page. So I contacted Stephen Underwood and asked why we didnt just create a second page strictly FOR WANTING and SELLING. Be careful what ya ask for. He said sure, youre the new admin! For months we lingered at 15, 20, 28 1/2, etc. I sent messages to as many drummers that sold Rogers parts as I knew and others did too. Two hundred doesnt sound like a ton but, it satisfied all. The original Group oners werent burdened by ads, but we all had a place here (other than ebay or Craigslist) where fellow Rogers lovers could say selling a ..... or looking for ..... Several times, a member here has saved another member from purchasing counterfeit junk on ebay or pointed out an unscrupulous seller. THAT is what its all about! We have each others backs and knowledgeable people that care about the brand. Heck, I ended up buying a set of 1971 Power Tones though this page and dozens have purchased/sold hoops, lug casings, throw offs...Hence my calling it kits n bits. I was also tipped off to that silver glitter wooden Dyna here, showed the pics to several of the experts to make sure it wasnt a fake: reassure myself. It may not match the kit but it suurrrrre sounds good! And, if that color combo is good enough for Al Green Jr? Its good enough for me. Lastly, The other great part is we rarely, very rarely have anyone disrespect anyone with a different point of view. To my knowledge (I could be wrong) only one person has been booted out and that was Group One well over a year ago.
