NSW State Titles 2014 - Yesterday was a late finish in the dark for our Team - it was a one rail day for many if our riders - with the highlight being Sophie Smith and Paige McBain reaching the penultimate round of the six bar with a 1.35 last fence (which they both cleared) to finish in the minor placings. This mornings Junior Grand Prix showcased the best young talent in the land . Sophie Smith and Barrabadeen Calypso jumped their hearts out over a very technical John Vallance track - to be one of only 5 clear rounds - eventually finishing 4 th overall (after the jump off ) A brilliant result - and justifiable reward for a stack of hard work in recent weeks. See pictured at the presentation. Claudia Kent and Sarah Thompson had first round exits but both girls are very much on the upward trend and will be aimed at Super Juniors at SIEC in Dec . Paige McBain rode with maturity and style in her 110 class this afternoon and backed up her earlier win at the Titles with a 2nd and 5 th from 55 starters today. Great Job !! And Paige is seen with her two ribbons at the line - up. Finally the two sisters Alexandra and Olivia both jumped fast and clear in the 75 cm Champs - Olivia finishing 0.02 of a second in front of her sibling to run 5th in the class. She rather enjoyed this outcome !!! A great 3 days of jumping well done team - well done organisers !! A weekend off then down to the Nations Capital for the next instalment of our 2014 season. All the best, MG
