#NSW #Weather #News #CTCorp From suncreen Sunday to umbrella Monday for NSW With sweltering conditions expected for Sunday, but Monday will be remarkably cooler and wetter for many parts of New South Wales. During Sunday, the mercury is poised to hit the mid 40s about western parts of the state, with high 30s to 40s expected for coastal parts. Seven fire areas across NSW are listed as having severe fire danger (including Greater Sydney), while a further eleven areas are listed as having a very high fire danger. From Monday, a broad low pressure trough will settle over NSW bringing with it some much needed rain. This trough stretching from the northwest corner to the southeast will bring widespread falls of 10 millimeters, although parts of the Upper Western, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands and Southwest Slopes will be clear winners with isolated heavy falls in the region of 20-50mm. Northeastern parts of the state will have to wait until Tuesday and Wednesday until the rain arrives, with the heaviest falls about the ranges. A cooler airmass from the south will begin to flush out some of the heat from the state on Tuesday, returning temperatures closer to average.
