INGENIEROS/AS QUÍMICOS PARA IKEA: EURES Sweden and EURES Spain are helping IKEA recruiting Chemical engineer or Chemist within Plastics raw materials and Chemical raw materials IKEA Components, Älmhult, Sweden The technical engineer supports IKEAs raw material agenda with focus on high performance within thermoplastics (i.e. olefins) and thermosets (i.e. polyols and isocyanates). We are looking for a Chemical engineer or a chemist who will help us develop IKEAs best Plastics and Chemicals rawmaterial range. Your main assignments will be to: • Together with IKEA Supply Chain, contribute in developing sustainable raw materials for the future, optimized for the IKEA range and the many people, both in the recycled, renewable and the virgin field. • Be responsible for quality- and chemical assurance of the rawmaterials • Meet raw material suppliers from the petrochemical industry, recycled industry and compounding industry with technical and chemical competence. • Be responsible for claims handling of the rawmaterials, both pro-active and re-active • Support the process to test and implement raw materials at IKEA suppliers. Is this the challenge for you? To be able to succeed in the role as a plastics chemical engineer, we see that you have experience from producing as well as developing raw materials at relevant industries. It’s also important to have the technical/chemical education and knowledge. It is a plus if you have experience from production of articles made from mentioned material areas. You must be able to translate technical aspects within the material area into business advantages for IKEA. As a person you must have good communication skills since the job contains a lot of different contacts with different functions both internal within IKEA and external contacts. It is also important that you are business minded. You have the opportunity to travel globally and work with many different people in different locations and cultures. It is also important that you have persistence in pursuing goals despite obstacles. Spoken and written English is required.
