NURSING POSITION AVAILABLE! We are looking for a new qualified and registered veterinary nurse to join our team! See the following link for the full ad description: kookaburravets/Australia/Oznurses_NT_WA.htm The Position: • Option of full time or part time work. • A standard week would involve a minimum of approximately 28-32 hours spread over 4 working days with the option for weekend work if full time hours are desired. • The position involves admission and discharging of our patients, running lab diagnostics, providing hospital care and medications, preparing for surgery, anaesthetic monitoring, administration and marketing tasks, cleaning, nursing consults, customer service, ordering and stock control. • We are involved in student teaching at the university and we have students with us on most days. In addition to this we are currently booked out with prac students until 2017. The applicant must be happy to work with students. • Close mentorship and training provided with shadowing shifts • Starting date is flexible for the right candidate however ideally January 2015 would be desired. The successful candidate will be: • Friendly, confident and great with clients. • Be interested in the range of species that we see, have (or be prepared to learn) a good knowledge about their unique husbandry requirements, medicine and surgery. • Well organized, efficient and reliable. • Looking for a long-term position in which they can develop their skills and career.
