NUTSHELL on MEDISHIELD LIFE. People will pay more in premiums but govt says all will be able to afford it. If they are not, govt will give subsidies to help. But how much more in premiums do people have to pay? Dont know. Yet. Gahmen say those with pre-existing medical conditions will now be covered but gahmen cannot foot the whole bill. So, the patients themselves will foot 30% additional premiums, and everyone else will help by paying 3% more in premiums. Nothing to cheer yet. Waiting to see details - because that is where the devil is.
