*NYC Association hold Press conference in Jammu*: 27-jan- 2014 Jammu: * *A press conference of All J&K NYC Association was held in Jammu, in which State President NYC Association Mr. Muddasir Hassan addressed the conference along with its vice president Mr. Asif Ali Bhat and all Dist. Presidents of the Association. While addressing the conference Mr. Muddasir Hassan straight away expressed his anger on the failure of state Govt. in redressing their demands so far. Our issue has all together mobilized in negative manner. Mr. Hassan once again requested Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to save the sinking future of NYCs.” From last two years we had moved from pillar to post to get our issue resolved but all in vain. Now we feel cheated by Government despite our repeated requests on the extension with comprehensive policy of our services in various state public departments. However, three years down the line we are feeling cheated with many of us having given up their jobs and education. But, till date Government has not been able to arrive at a consensus regarding the adjustment of NYCs. On the other hand we are being asked to discharge our duties with the various departments even after the expiration of our two years term. We request state Government to devise a plan to regularize our services in various departments where we have gained experience, Most of us are in terrible depression, nearly two lac people depend on us for their livelihood. * *The problems of youth cannot be addressed in this manner ‘WE ARE NEITHER HERE NOR THERE’. Our career is in Jeopardy. But, state government did not understand the problems of youth.* *Now, we request state Government do not put us in dilemma and avoid politicizing the NYC issue as we have already become the victims of bad administration and dirty politics and its now beyond our control to bear any more discrimination., said Hassan* * While addressing the press conference Asif Ali Bhat said that we have lost the precious years of our career which include education and most importantly upper age limit. Now, we are not able to compete in any examination. The State Government has put our career at stake. For this we are serving an ultimatum of 10 days to state Government and we expect state Government will come out with comprehensive policy that will save the future of NYC.* *If Government failed to meet the deadline of 10 days, then ALL JK NYC Association will start indefinite Hunger Strike in Jammu and protests across the State from 08-Feb-2014, the movement will not be stopped until it will not reach to its logical end. The Anti-Youth approach adopted by the state Government and blatant lie of providing employment to the youth will force us to take this extreme step and it will be very tough for the Government to stop us.* *At the end we request the young and dynamic Chief Minister of J&K Omar Abdullah and our concerned Minister that come clear with a compressive policy, and not to brush things under the carpet and come out of this Anti-youth approach adopted by the state Government. NYC Association j&K requested Youth of J&K to come forward and help us to fight for the genuine cause.* * With Thanks,* MUDDASIR HASSAN* (State President)*
