NYC DAY ONE: We awoke peacefully in our gorgeous West 43rd St apartment, we are so damn lucky being here its location is incredible. Started the day with the ol double decker bus tour to orientate the New York Virgin Sarah. We did a smart Theater Jazz class at Broadway Dance Center which turned out to be Vogue/Fancy mash up-throw-yourself-around-gaydragqueenstyle-jazz - was cuuute! Dinner in the filthy tourist destination Ellens Stardust Diner - all of the waiters sing and belt out tunes the entire time. It sounds tacky but actually their talent was mind blowing - kinda puts things in perspective, here they are serving us our Nachos and not in a Broadway Show where clearly they belong... Finished our tremendous first day with a visit to the world famous Birdland Open Mic night where we were entertained by many a humorous and talented character. So entertaining and heartwarming how they all get up there and are greeted with 100% support from the audience :-) Bring on Day TWO!
