NZ Labour leader David Cunliffe released his partys domestic violence policy today. Now might be a good time to go over to his Facebook page to ask what he would do to sort out the issues facing Kiwis in Australia if he became Prime Minister. Australian policies towards New Zealanders in regard to domestic violence have very negative effects including: - denial of financial support to domestic violence victims - denial of emergency accommodation to some domestic violence victims - women and children forced to remain in Australia due to Hague Convention, but still denied any assistance - women facing domestic violence have been forced to put their children into state care, as they cannot access assistance in Australia and cannot take the children back to NZ where assistance is available - NZ tax-payers having to pick up the cost of providing support for women and children who have fled domestic violence in Australia
