Na send ko na po ito kay sis Tere.... for the info of the chapel group.... :) HISTORY OF CITYHOMES RESORTVILLE CHAPEL • Since the year 1997, Bible service with communion is being done by lay ministers Bro. Nick Pernes and Bro. Julian, every Sunday morning at the Clubhouse. Bro. Julian appointed the following persons to manage the funds and properties of the group: Coordinator : Emelin Barrozo Treasurer : Lina Chavez Auditor : Eleonor Asilo • In May 2001, A chapel for the subdivision was built at Gate I of CHRV-2 (with Board Resolution from CHRV-2 HOA Officers donating an open space land to be used by the parish church). Bible service then was scheduled every 1st, 2nd, and 4th Sunday morning and anticipated mass every 3rd Saturday of the month. This was being presided by Fr. Jeff Bugayong, Immaculate Conception Parish Priest. • Core group officers were retained and an additional appointed person, Mr. Zeus Intia and Bert Arroyo acted as the Chapel Administrators. • Different Catholic religious organizations started to have their representatives to the Core Group activities and meetings. They were: Matet Dei (Ugnayan) Legion of Mary Ushers and Usherettes • Church helpers grew in number. The following New Appointed officers were: Chapel Administrator : Emelin Barrozo Treasurer : Terry Villas Auditor : Ellen Asilo Special Projects : Bert Arroyo Maintenance : Gil Villas Sound System : Joe Belardo • Church Organizations continued to support the core group activities by appointing a representative from their organizations: El Shaddai, Matet Dei, Block Rosary Group (Legion of Mary) During the latter part of the year, Bible service was changed from Sunday to Saturday. • Fr. Roel Castañeda was the regular celebrant in anticipated masses every Saturday, Simbang –Gabi and other mass celebrations in Cityhomes. • In 2002, the priests from Our Lady of La Salette Shrine became the celebrant in the anticipated masses every Saturday. • In 2003, new Parish Priest, Fr. Gene Rafal celebrated his first mass in Cityhomes in October. • Cityhomes Patron Saint is Sta. Elena in which the first Feast was celebrated in May 11, 2003. The feast celebration was declared by the Brgy. Council of Langkaan II, with the approval of the former Immaculate Conception Parish Priest. • In 2007, bible service and mass celebrations was conducted at the Clubhouse and/or covered court. The core group encountered a problem with the CHRV-2 Officers because the chapel was converted into a multi-purpose by the new set of CHRV-2 Officers. The sudden changed of venue was approved by the Parish Priest upon the consultation of the core group. • In 2014, the Dream Church, Our Lady of The Miraculous Medal came into reality. Construction of the Phase I of the church will hopefully finish in September 2014. All core group members and other church organizations are helping and exerting their effort in raising funds. • At present, bible service is being done every Saturday at 6:00pm and at the 4th Saturday, Holy Mass is being celebrated by the Parochial Vicar of Immaculate Conception Parish, at the CHRV Club house. • Members of different church organizations: El Shaddai Couples for Christ Block Rosary Neo Catechumenate Ministry of the Word Music Ministry : El Shaddai Couples for Christ & Kids for Christ Neo Catechumenate RULES & REGULATIONS • Officers of the Core group are being appointed by the consensus of the members of different church organizations during the meeting. At present the following are the newly appointed officers: Coordinator : Nelita I. Julian Asst. Coordinator : Mario I. Apa Secretary : Nelia M. Babiera Treasurer : Adoracion S. Corral Auditor : Milagros A. Felipe Finance Council Members : Eleonor C. Asilo Emelin A. Barrozo Herbert C. Arroyo BY LAWS • There is no existing By-Laws in the Cityhomes Subdivision Chapel.
