Nadal Sets Janowicz Clash Rafael Nadal set a third-round clash with 2012 runner-up Jerzy Janowicz at the BNP Paribas Masters on Wednesday in Paris as he defeated fellow Spaniard Marcel Granollers 7-5, 7-5. Nadal won 80 per cent of his service points and broke serve twice to claim his 69th win of the season in one hour and 42 minutes. The 27-year-old Nadal is chasing an unprecedented sixth ATP World Tour Masters 1000 crown of the season, following victories in Indian Wells (d. del Potro), Madrid (d. Wawrinka), Rome (d. Federer), Montreal (d. Raonic) and Cincinnati (d. Isner). The Mallorcan is making his first appearance in Paris since 2009; he reached the final on his debut in 2007 (l. to Nalbandian). Nadal has a 1-0 FedEx ATP Head2Head lead over Janowicz, beating the Wimbledon semi-finalist in the Montreal third round in August. The left-hander has already secured his place at the season-ending Barclays ATP World Tour Finals and is looking to win his 11th tour-level title in what has been one of his best years on tour.
