(Nagi) Islamic State is promising retaliatory strikes and a wave of bombings against the tourism industry in Turkey if it participates with the international coalition against it. Under U.S. pressure the Turkish parliament will vote tomorrow on joining the coalition against the Islamic State. But that will only be a disguise. The real aim of the Turkish president Erdogan is to install a puppet Muslim Brotherhood regime in Damascus Muhammet Dervisoglu,Hakan Fidan‘s former deputy and the number two at the Turkish intelligence agency Milli Istihbarat Teskilati (MIT), has been appointed under-secretary for security and public order at the ministry of interior. In his new role, Dervisoglu will focus his attentions on the fight against jihadist networks in Turkey and on negotiations with the Kurdish separatist organisation PKK. Dervisoglu is convinced that a negotiated settlement is possible on Kurdistan. He was on the MIT delegation that took part in negotiations with the PKK in Oslo in 2009. Turkey will not allow coalition members to use its military bases or its territory in the fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) if the objective does not also include ousting the Bashar al-Assad regime, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Oct. 1. Russia has given warnings to Turkey to not proceed with its plans. Moscow surely has contingency plans for further support of Syria should the U.S. or Turkey attack the Syrian government.
