Namah shivay! Before proceeding to the description to this video, this is to inform that Ishan ji will be addressing the sadhaks on Facebook today evening through a written note from Canada, where he is currently enlightening the masses on Shiv Yog healing processes. So touching and relatable is the note that it will tug at your hearts directly. In the inexplicably beautiful write-up, Get the answer to the million Dollar question - What is the need to have a Guru? A line from his address succinctly puts forth the immensity of his words ..........Many are born as mortals. But few die as immortals. And those who become gods while they live, have the honour to meet a true master, the master of Rama, the master of Krishna.............. The address will be posted right here tonight. Share with all. Now back to the video. There is no gainsaying the fact that #Sankirtan, when done with emotion, is the quickest way to connect to the divine. #Baba ji has spoken at length on the need to engage in #Dhyan Sankirtan on a daily basis. And, on the eve of #Guru #Purnima, time could not be more ripe to forget everything and just sing in the Glory of the Guru (which also happens to be the title of this video). The Guru is ever merciful. The greatness of the Guru is mirrored in the fact that despite knowing of all the blunders his #disciples commit, he showers love on them. Such an act of magnanimity he performs for all of his disciples to follow suit. What a rich vein of #teachings is hidden in all of the Guru’s actions. Like him, we must also practice supreme sacrifice for our loved ones, forgive their follies and accept them the way they are. The reason for worshipping the Guru #Paduka or the #Holy Sandals is that may we tread the same holistic path through which the Guru marched past to attain #Enlightenment. All the bhajans encompassed in the video point towards a pure #Master-Disciple relationship. In GURU DA DARSHAN, the protégé sings his heart out to the Guru, intimating the Guru that without his sight, without his teachings, the disciple’s birth becomes a listless one and that the respect for the Guru’s lotus feet is to the extent that after abluting it, the residual water becomes a nectar that he happily gulps down. These lines are replete with symbolism which only the initiated seekers will understand in the true sense. Next is Satanam #Shree #Wahe Guru. The disciple croons to the fact that the name of the Guru and the existence of the Supreme One are the only permanent features of the universe. From the material wealth to the physical body, everything else is transitory and momentary. #Jyot se Jyot Jagao is an earnest plea by the disciple to the Guru to ignite the fire of #awakening in him. And finally, referring to all his teachings, the Guru urges the disciples to hold them tight in their lives. He expresses this emotion through a poignant melody Chaltey chaltey mere ye geet yaad rakhna……Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. Again a very subtle message, which every sadhak will understand best. Let us all live the spirit of Guru Purnima and sing now. Om Namo Bhagwate Shivanandaaye! Om Shree Guruve Namah!
