Namaste Yogis... Thomas Leverett and I are on our count down for leaving on our Yoga/Seva Retreat to Nicaragua. We leave Wednesday morning so our last classes before we leave are this Sunday 11:30; Monday 11:30 (Thomas) and Tuesday 5:30 (me). Many of you have asked what you can donate for us to take to the Orphanage where we go visit 100 children that have either been abandoned or found in the streets--- here are some of the physical items needed-- Educational Materials: a.) materials like legos, puzzles and crafting/threading/ensemble games. b.) Drawing/coloring supplies: crayons, acrylic paint, cloth, poster board, cardboard, paper, paintbrushes, etc. c.) Crafting supplies: colorful crafting foam, scissors, hot glue guns, hot glue sticks, glue, patterned cloth, etc. d.) Materials to make jewelry: tools, beads, etc. anything that could be used to make necklaces, bracelets, etc. e.) Coloring books. f.) Books (in Spanish) To sponsor a child or give money directly for child go to: e-activist/p2p/heartswideopen2014 We also visit an elderly community as well that have lost all family members and are taken care of by nuns, so anything you think they could need works too.
