Name: Paulette _______ Message: Urgent! I read on ------ ------ that Carnival would be insisting on passports from 2015. Is this true as we have no passport and have no intention of getting one. Why would Carnival insist on this, it is undemocratic. We have cruised with no passport and no insurance and are vip platinum passengers. Please explain to me on what authority carnival will be instituting this law. I wanted to mention that this is no way true. Although we certainly do recommend a passport in case you have to disembark in a foreign port but we are not going to be instituting a “must have a passport” law and I may be wrong but I think that would have to be passed by Congress, the President or Oprah Winfrey. As for insurance…………….well I was surprised reading this as I thought most people do cruise with insurance. My view on this is I guess simple. Please take insurance, take the best policy you can afford. Ask your Travel Agent, your PVP or a Carnival help person for their advice So, passports and insurance – thoughts please
