Names carry energy. Indigenous people have a deliberate science to their names. Names are symbolic and equally practical. Even in European culture , some names are reflective of ones actual work, like Smith or Foreman or Cook, etc. From the first time I met someone with that name, I have always been intrigued by the origin of the European surname Killchrist. Names reflect peoples nature, and life ambitions. These words are no reflection on Africans or other indigenous people who were given these names through forced servitude. Talking about the origin!
