Football Pineas Jacob Lesotho and Namibia have each won R15 000 prize money for finishing as the best scoring teams in their respective groups at the Cosafa Cup in Zambia. Lesotho netted seven goals in their three matches in Group B, upsetting the form book and triumphing top of the standings to book a quarter-final place against Angola. They scored twice against Kenya in their first game on Monday, three against Botswana 24 hours later and then two more against Swaziland on Thursday to edge the Zebras on goal difference in the standings. Namibia played only two games in Group A and found the net six times as they beat Mauritius first on Saturday and then the Seychelles on Monday. The Brave Warriors next take on neighbours South Africa in their quarter-final in Lusaka on Saturday. Lesotho’s match against Angola is in Kitwe on Sunday. (namibiasport.na)
