Nanaimo RCMP say that an accident this afternoon just south of the Cedar overpass on the Trans Canada Highway has caused both south bound lanes to be temporarily closed. No injuries have been reported and at least two vehicles are involved. RCMP and paramedics are on scene. South bound vehicle traffic from the Nanaimo Parkway is temporarily being re-routed either north in to Nanaimo or east along Cedar Road. Police say that when the debris and vehicles involved are moved, the lanes will be re-opened. Both lanes are expected to be open at approximately 4:45 pm.
