Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah رضي الله عنه : The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: Enjoining, all that is good is Sadaqa. [Sahih Al Bukhari] Volume 8, Book 73, Number 50: ---------- THE PROHIBITION AGAINST DISCLOSING ONES OWN SINS. The nephew of Ibn Shihab (رضي الله عنه ) narrated that his paternal uncle said: Salim (رضي الله عنه ) said : I heard Abu Hurairah(رضي الله عنه ) say : I heard the Messenger of ALLAH رســــول اللـــه صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ say: All of my Ummah will be fine except those who commit sin openly, and it is part of committing sin openly for a man to do something at night, then in the morning when his lord has concealed him he says: O so-and-so, I did such and such last night, When his lord had concealed him all night, but in the morning he discloses that which ALLAH had concealed for him.
