Narrowly avoided a carbeque today. Discovering that the engine - TopicsExpress

Narrowly avoided a carbeque today. Discovering that the engine in my car had a slow oil leak, I hurriedly pulled into the closest gas station to add some. Oil purchased, cap off, starting to pour. All the way in. At this point fire flames start SHOOTING up from underneath the oil tank, and creating a blinding haze of smoke. My inner Boy Scout (yes, I was one- dont ask) was trying to quickly figure out what to do, while outwardly I was having a good old-fashioned nelly freak out. Would the engine blow up setting the gas station ablaze, with my eyebrows singed off like some bad Seinfeld episode. There were ONE bottle of water left for sale on a stand in between the pumps, which I quickly stole and used to successfully extinguish the flames. Lesson here- dont put oil in your car on super hot days. I angrily drove off, not paying for the water in hopes that a bit of petty theft would lift my spirits.
