Natalie Christine Moros asked me to do a review of the Insanity - TopicsExpress

Natalie Christine Moros asked me to do a review of the Insanity program. I am only halfway through, but I think I can give a pretty honest and informed opinion. This is the best DVD workout, Ive ever done. Period. The program on the whole, meaning workouts and nutrition is extremely challenging to follow. It asks you to eat 5 small meals a day. Sometimes I get busy writing or working on something and I completely forget to eat, something you can not do when working out at this level. Ive gotten headaches from low blood sugar and dehydration. But that is not the fault of Insanity, thats all me. I also got in my own way around the holidays and fell off the program. I am paying for it now in the second month which is twice as hard as the first month. Notwithstanding, I still love it. It kicks my butt. Like on the floor, in a puddle, praying for survival, kind of butt kicking. But I sleep solid at night, my skin is looking better and my muscles are getting seriously sculpted. Shaun T has NO annoying quirks that you sometimes find in home workout videos. You know that annoying phrase or pitch in their voice that makes you want to punch someone. Shaun T doesnt have those. Sometimes he miscalls a drill, or mispronounces a muscle, but hes so likable as a person it doesnt make you crazy at all. You dont need any equipment other than a little bit of space, a dvd player and a screen to show it on. And the best part is, you jump in your own shower after you are done, eat a quick meal and move on with your life. This is not for the faint of heart. You need to love a challenge or at least be willing to work through the process. Sometimes you feel like a complete schmuck when youre just having an off day and need to take more breaks than usual. The key is to get through and try again the next day. The workouts are arched in a way that makes sense. 3 days hard work followed by a recovery day and then 2 more days of hard work and a rest day. Personally, I love it! I am just glad I got past my own ego, critic and judgmental self and gave it a try. Its the kind of challenge I have been lacking for many years. https://youtube/watch?v=NTEDDmCjd1k
